みなさん、はじめまして。
アジアンビートオンラインのスタッフの中林知世（ちよ）です。
これまで、アジア地域でのパフォーマンス交流を行なってきたアジアンビートプロジェクトの理念を引き継いで、コロナ禍で海外渡航が難しいこの時期にオンラインでアジアをつなぐ国際交流プログラムを企画しています。
アジアの人々と繋がりを持ちたい！友達を作りたい！
そんなメンバーが多国籍に集い、韓国、タイ、日本から総勢10名のスタッフチームを結成しました。
それぞれ母語が異なるので、ミーティングでの共通言語は英語を使います。
もちろん英語力は個人個人異なります。
今回は、そんなスタッフが全員参加した初めてのミーティング、その名も「Kick off Meeting」の様子をお伝えします。
初めて会うメンバーもいるので、まずは簡単に自己紹介から。
年齢も職業も様々なメンバーが集まっています。学生、会社員、次の仕事の準備をしていたり様々です。
「今日誕生日なんです。」そう言った韓国スタッフに”Happy Birthday”の歌を贈りました。
「Sharing time about YOU!!」の時間では、更に踏み込んで、
ーこのプログラムに期待しているものは？
ーあなたを動機づけるものは何か？
ーあなた自身のことでチームメンバーに伝えたいことは？
この3点を話す時間になりました。
英語理解力の低さを情熱だけでカバーしようとしている私には、正直、とってもハードな時間帯です。
それでも分かったことがあります。
それは、全員、アジアの人たちと繋がりたい、友達を作りたいと思っていること。
私のように英語力が無い人間の話も理解しようとしてくれること。
（これは、涙が出そうになる程嬉しくて悔しい体験でした。英語の勉強を頑張ろうと思います！）
そしてこの場では間違っても良いからチャレンジすることが歓迎されること。
とにかく、素敵なメンバーが集まって良い空気ができています！
生まれた国も、話す言葉も違うけれど、年齢も職業も超えて大切にしたいものを共有し、お互いを理解し合う姿勢が見えた。
そんな時間になりました。
良い笑顔でKick off Meetingは終了しました。

Staff gathered from South Korea, Thailand and Japan. Finally start!
Hello everyone!
I’m Chiyo Nakabayashi (nickname is Chiyo).
One of the members of the Asian Beat Online Program staff.
Nice to see you!
Until 2019, we conducted performance exchanges in the Asian region with a program under the name “Asian Beat”.
But due to COVID19, it is now impossible to travel abroad.
So we changed to continue the program online under the name Asian Beat Online from 2021.
Today I’d like to report on the first meeting of all staff members called “Kick-off Meeting”.
First, we had self introduction time.
Staff are students, office workers, ready for the next job, etc vary in age and profession.
We sang a song “Happy Birthday to you” to a staff member who said “Today is my birthday” .
Next, we had a “sharing about you” time.
It was a more in-depth theme.
# What do you expect for this program? / What are you expected for?
# What motivates you?
# One thing you need to (want to) tell something about you to the team!
It was a very difficult time for me, because I’m not good at English.
However I got to know these.
All members want to make a lot of friends in Asia.
All members try to understand the story of someone who doesn’t speak English well like me.
(It was a very happy and motivating experience for me.)
Challenges and failures are welcomed here.
I felt good atmosphere and great members here!
I was impressed after I attended the meeting.
We were born in different places. The same goes for language, age, work, etc.
But we want to connect with each other, and share important things with each other.
Everyone smiled and ended the kick-off meeting.
