こんにちは！
アジアンビートオンラインスタッフの加藤隆司(かとぅー)です。
プログラムの開催に向けて、参加者を集める為に3回のOrientation（説明会）を実施し、全ての回が無事に終了しました！
アジアでの交流を目指すプログラムなので、参加者はもちろん多国籍！なんと、日本・韓国・タイ・台湾・インドネシア・フィリピン・マレーシア・中国・カナダから、49人が参加をしてくれました！
中には3回とも参加して、既にこのプログラムの熱烈なファンになってくれている人も。
オリエンテーションでは、参加する為の具体的な方法などを説明する時間ももちろんありますが、主にはオンラインでアジアンビートの雰囲気を体験してみる、そして国を越えた交流を体験してみるという体験がメインの時間です。
より良い体験を提供するためにスタッフ一同で知恵を絞り、3回のオリエンテーションでは毎回違ったアクティビティを用意しました。
例えば、お互いのバックグラウンドをより深く知るために「グループの中で自分だけが未経験なことを探す」アクティビティでは、インドネシアの参加者が「自分の国ではムスリムが多いのでお酒を飲んだことがない」と話してくれるなど、ふとしたタイミングで異国の生の声が聞けたりして、貴重な体験ができました。
または、Zoomの機能を使ってみんなでお絵描きをして、オンラインを活かしてグループで何かを生み出すことを楽しむ時間もありました。
はじめは慣れていなかったり、恥ずかしがって顔を隠していた参加者たちも、終わる頃には笑顔を見せてくれていました。
全3回のOrientationを終え、今回キャスト15名を募集したところ、49名がOrientationに参加、このうち21名のキャストを第一回アジアンビートオンラインプログラムのキャストに確定しました。
オンライン国際交流にはまだまだ多くの可能性があります。参加者それぞれの心に、何かしらの光が宿ったと思います。
この光たちがオンラインで集った時、どんな作品が生み出されるのか、今からとても楽しみです。

The orientation has ended successfully!
Hello.
I’m Takashi Kato (Katoo), an Asian Beat Online staff member.
Three orientations were held to gather participants for the program, and all of them were completed successfully!
This program aims to interact with Asians. So, of course, the participants are also multinational! About 40 people from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, China and Canada participated!
Some have participated all three times and are already enthusiastic fans of this program.
At the orientation, we discussed practical matters such as how to participate, but we mainly engaged in online experience and cross-country exchanges.
The staff has mustered their wisdom to provide a good experience. And we prepared different activities for each of the three orientations.
For example, in the “Finding things that only I have never experienced in a group” activity, an Indonesian participant said, “I have never drank alcohol because there are many Muslims.” We had a valuable experience listening to the voices of foreigners.
We also had time to enjoy drawing together using Zoom’s features and collaborating online to create something.
At first, the participants, who were embarrassed or unfamiliar and hid their faces, all returned with a smile at the end.
There are still many possibilities for online international exchange. I think there was some kind of light in each participant’s heart.
I’m really looking forward to what kind of work will be produced when these lights gather online.
